Car Share Insurance

Individuals are not required to have a personal insurance when applying for the car share service. Project Village Car Share has an active insurance that covers the service operations including the car share users. The car share insurance includes: Collision, Comprehensive, and Third Party Liability.

EV Emergency and Towing

In case of emergency, clients can find the Emergency Guide document stored at the front compartment of each electric vehicle. This document also include the contact list of towing companies in New Brunswick and electric vehicle towing instructions. If the car share user needs towing assistance, please take note of the following:

  • In case of an accident, car share user must immediately contact the police to report the accident.

  • The electric vehicle must be towed back to its original car share zone. The user must not tow and leave the EV anywhere outside the car share zone in case of service disruption. Additional cost may apply if the EV is towed elsewhere.

    • Electric vehicle requires different towing equipment, thus, it is the responsibility of the car share user to inform the towing company that the unit being towed is an electric vehicle.

    • By default, the towing cost will be shouldered by the car share user should they need towing during their booked time; however, ECW may reimburse this expense depending on the cause of the emergency.

  • Contact our customer service line at (506) 456-6001 on weekdays (Monday - Friday) to report the accident. If our customer line is unavailable, send an accident report by filling up the form below. Each electric vehicle has an Accident Report QR Code you can scan with your mobile device to direct you to this website and report the accident.
